Meet the instructor

Mr. Sean Farmer is a dedicated instructor with a passion for the automotive and diesel industry. A graduate of Erwin Technical College, Mr. Farmer began his career at Ford, where he quickly advanced to become a Ford Master Technician, earning ASE and Cummins certifications along the way.

Mr. Farmer's leadership skills led him to the role of Team Leader, where he mentored fellow technicians and honed his expertise in vehicle diagnostics and repair.

With a drive for entrepreneurship, Mr. Farmer went on to establish his own successful automotive repair shop, servicing all makes and models with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. After years of running a thriving business, he sold the shop and transitioned into education, bringing his wealth of industry knowledge back to where it all began—Erwin Technical College.

As a Diesel Instructor for Hillsborough County, Mr. Farmer played a pivotal role in launching Erwin Technical College’s first-ever Diesel Technology program. His leadership and vision led to the program’s relocation to Brewster Technical College, where it has continued to grow and flourish, equipping students with the skills and hands-on experience needed for successful careers in the diesel industry.

Mr. Farmer has been voted Teacher of the Year multiples times at Brewster.  He remains dedicated to training the next generation of skilled technicians, ensuring they are well-prepared for the evolving demands of the automotive and diesel fields.
