Our Early Childhood Education program at Brewster Technical College offers a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. With a curriculum designed to foster creativity and critical thinking, you'll be prepared to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children.

Program admission requirements include a background check and drug screen.


As part of the public school system, Brewster follows the Hillsborough County Public Schools calendar which includes a fall, spring and winter break. 

Classes meet Monday - Friday, 8am-2pm, August through May and Monday - Thursday, 8am-2:45pm June and July. Internship hours may vary based on facility.

Meet the Instructor

Mrs. Angela Small

Mrs. Small holds a Bachelor of Science from Central State University and a Master of Science in Early Childhood Studies. 


A former Academic All-American and four-year starter and captain in college basketball and track, Mrs. Small continues her passion for sports as an enthusiastic fan at major events. She is also the founder and President of A Second Wish By Demetrius, Inc., a nonprofit granting second wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. 


Mrs. Small started at Brewster Technical College in October 2020, supporting adults in earning their Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and Florida Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC).


Outside of work, she enjoys professional print modeling, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
